Take incredible photos of the scenic ocean view at Qixingtan. Have a leisurely stroll along the shore and admire the towering Qing Shui coastal cliffs, which stretches at around 21 kilometers.

Head to the Taroko National Park, where you will learn about the impressive Taroko Gorge, a beautiful marbled canyon carved by the majestic Liwu River. Also, know about other interesting facts about the natural wonder, such as its huge role in biodiversity and as a source of jade stone.

Another scenic place worthy of a visit is the Shakadang Trail, also known as the Mysterious Valley Trail, which is around 4 kilometers of flat hike following the crystal clear Shakadang River. The highlight of this trail is at a river curve, where deep pools of blue-green water can be admired.

See the Liwu River's might at Swallow Grotto, where the narrowest portion of Taroko Gorge is located. The grotto got its name from the swallows nesting in the potholes naturally carved by the river. Then, go to the Lushui Trail for an easy hike along the lush greenery and cliffs.

Continue your relaxed walks at Buluowan and admire the Formosa Lily (which blooms during April and May). You can also check out the restaurant at the upper terrace. After that, head on to the Pine Garden, a former military office during the Japanese rule, located at the highest point of the city.
